Bake Your Own Amazing Bagels demystifies the "roll with a hole." 

Oakland, CA resident Laurie Leiber teaches ordinary people how to bake extraordinary bagels. Leiber's passion for authentic, naturally fermented bagels has always been more than a business—it's an obsession.

The Shape, Boil and Bake* workshops let students bake amazing bagels in their own kitchens via Zoom.  We start with premixed dough*, fermented to perfection, and then prepare bagels together while learning about the history of this humble but important bread. Although most participants are local, past students have taken their new bagel-making skills to Austria, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands and India.

“No one should settle for mediocre bagels,” says Leiber. “Even people who describe themselves as 'non-bakers' can learn to produce superb bagels.”

* Please note: workshop participants must live in the San Francisco Bay Area.
